On the west coast of the island of Arran is a windy land and the mystical swamp called Machrie Moor. Bronze Age stone circles and “standing” stones are scattered on barren and uneven ground. One of the stone circles is known as the Fingal Cauldron Seat, where there is a more special stone with a carved hole. The legendary giant warrior Fingal is said to have tied his favorite dog, Bran, to this stone. The stone, representsng the resistance of the barrel, an expression specific to the Arran area. Arran Machrie Moor Cask Strength is very similar to the single malts in the Island, but retains very well the specific character of the distillery at the same time. Color: gold. Bouquet: ample, dominated by citrus, apple, pear, marine accents and smoke. Taste: aromas of exotic fruits and salted caramel, delicately wrapped in accents smoke and earthy notes. Finish: Sweet-salty, with peat accents.
