On the west coast of the island of Arran is a windy land and the mystical swamp called Machrie Moor. Bronze Age stone circles and “standing” stones are scattered on barren and uneven ground. One of the stone circles is known as the Fingal Cauldron Seat, where there is a more special stone with a carved hole. The legendary giant warrior Fingal is said to have tied his favorite dog, Bran, to this stone. The stone, representsng the resistance of the barrel, an expression specific to the Arran area. The single Malt perfectly captures by its taste or the rugged beauty of the place and the landscape. Discover the legend of every bottleof Machrie Moor. The presence of bourbon barrels in which the whiskey is aged feels quite good in the complex bouquet of the assortment, although Arran Machrie Moor does not seem to have spent more than eight or ten years ripening. Color : golden. Bouquet: expressive, dominated by vibrant notes of exotic fruits, wrapped in pleasant shades of smoke. Taste: rich aromas of pineapple, vanilla and lemon peel, enriched with shades of digestive biscuits and smoke. Finish: Long, fruity, smoky.
