Winner of the 2018 and 2019 World Whiskey Awards gold medal, Arran Quarter Cask is a single malt whiskey from the Island region of Scotland with an absolutely special character. It goes through no less than three separate maturation processes. The first and longest of them are made in first filling bourbon barrels. This first process lasts 7 years, after which the liqueur is matured for another 2 years in American oak barrels. The last 2 years are reserved for maturation in small oak barrels. This allows an accentuation of the aroma due to the strong contact with the wood, up to 60% higher than in the case of a large barrel. The expression thus pays homage to a part of the brand’s history, specific to the 17th and 19th centuries. The result is a special one, in the aroma of which we find notes specific to the maturation process, but also intensely spiced tones. Color: gold Bouquet: dominated of citrus notes and spices, especially cinnamon, finely tempered by vanilla influences. Taste: intense aromas of vanilla and coconut, complemented by exotic pineapple accents and sweet honey tones . Finish: Dry, prolonged.
