Clos des Lunes belongs to Olivier Bernard, owner of the famous Domaine du Chevalier in Pessac-Léognan and co-owner of the no less well-known Château Guiraud in Sauternes. He bought the 27 ha property in 2012 from the Castle group. In the meantime, it has increased its area to 45 ha, and the vineyards are organically grown. Today, the estate is run by his son, Hugo. Although located in the Sauternes appellation, famous for its sweet wines, Clos des Lunes produces dry Whitewines, because they do not reach the level of sweetness needed to qualifies as Sauternes. Therefore, they are sold under the generic name of WhiteBordeaux or Grand Vin Blanc Sec.
