The Cupola Sanctis collection was created in recognition of the popular values and faith of Oltenia. The wines are author’s creations, signed by Liviu Grigorică and Veronica Gheorghiu, obtained from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is named after Saint George; celebrated on April 23, protector of the military and the one who killed the Dragon. The story goes that St. George saved the city of Selena in Libya after he killed with a spear a monster that terrorized people and took the face of the lord of the city. The reward offered by the master: the girl’s hand and half of the master’s fortune were refused by St. George who invoked his duty to the Church and the faithful. Color: Ruby intense. Bouquet: A balanced, elegant wine with pleasant aromas of sour cherries and prunes, associated with a fine tinge of lightly burnt wood and chocolate. Taste:
