El Dorado is a brand produced by Demerara Distillers in Guyana. Guyana’s aging process is thought to have increased considerably due to high humidity and constant temperature- resulting in an 8-year-old rum, for example, with a maturity that is claimed to be equal to that of a 16-year-old produced in lower temperature. The famous rum from Guyana gathers in its composition only outdated varieties of rum; the youngest of them being matured for a period of 12 years in oak barrels. The design of the bottleis also one with tradition, just like the rum it keeps inside; being inspired by the containers that Dutch sailors used to throw at sea and which the local population then used to preserve artisanal rum, hundreds of years ago. Color: Amber . Bouquet: Rich notes of finely seasoned tropical fruits; accents of honey and brown sugar. Taste: Intense aromas of caramelized apple, juicy plums, dark chocolate and coffee; discreetly spiced tones.
