El Dorado is a brand produced by Demerara Distillers in Guyana. Guyana’s aging process is thought to have increased considerably due to high humidity and constant temperature- resulting in an 8-year-old Roma; for example, with a maturity that is claimed to be equal to that of a 16-year-old produced in lower temperature. This fascinating assortment that recently joined the El Dorado portfolio is the result of a unique combinestion of mature rums. and makes the transition from the soft taste of the 5-year-old version to the elegant bouquet of the 12-year-old assortment. The marriage between intensely flavored rums and delicate gums aged in oak barrels; previously used to preserve bourbon creates a velvety assortment; sumptuous and versatile. Color: Amber. Bouquet: Caramel, tobacco, dried fruit and flambéed bananas; fine oak accents. Taste: Velvety, sweet and expressive; dominated by woody flavors and caramel tones.
