El Dorado is a brand produced by Demerara Distillers in Guyana. Guyana’s aging process is thought to have increased considerably due to high humidity and constant temperature- resulting in an 8-year-old Roma; for example, having a maturity that is claimed to be equal to that of a 16-year-old produced in lower temperature. Port Mourant Uitvlugt Diamond Limited Edition is a special rum; which captures in its aromatic palette the most sophisticated essences. Rum is distilled into 3 types of stills; the marriage of the distillates being done immediately after distillation so that the primary aromas are intertwined even before they are aged. It is this practice that differentiates the El Dorado approach from the traditional method which consists in mixing the distillates after their individual maturation in barrels. Color: Amber. Bouquet : Elegant bouquet, which carries us among the sweet-spicy registers of honey; vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, licorice and hazelnuts. Taste: Predominantly sweet aromas, described by shades of honey, caramel, vanilla and nutmeg.
