Dalamara Merle Bio

Dalamara Winery is a boutique winery with a history dating back to 1840. Today the winery is run by Kostis Dalamara, a young but remarkably talented oenologist trained in Burgundy, who represents the 6th generation of a family of oenologists. Kostis and his wife, Maria Doulgeridou, grow about 6 hectares of organically grown grapes in the Naoussa region. in Gevrey-Chambertin, Alsace, Roussillon and Catalonia, Spain to focus on terroir-focused winemaking, spontaneous fermentation and significantly reduced use of SO2. An organic wine, Merle is fruity, made from 100% Merlot exclusively by fermentation in stainless steel tanks, without exposure to wood, being conceived as a wine focused on fruit and intended for early consumption. Color: medium intensity cherry Bouquet : specific notes of plums and red fruits Taste: fruity, sour cherries, cherries, red currants, plums, notes of vanilla, tea, allspice; lively addiction and medium body Culinary combinations: dishes with red sauces, grilled red meat dishes or cheese platters and / or charcuterie; can successfully accompany traditional baked beef meatballs with tomato sauce, specific to the Naoussa area.
