Oprisor La Cetate Chardonnay 6 x 750ml

The wine that inspires its name from the top of the hill behind the Oprişor Winery is one composed exclusively of grapes harvested by hand at full maturity, specially chosen to create this splendid expression, of French inspiration. The Chardonnay is kept in barrels for a period of 63 days, to fully complete its sophisticated character, velvety texture and good balance between body and acidity. Thus, we have indications that the variety feels good on the Oltenia Hills, where the influence of the Balkan chain and the Danube discreetly influences the aromatic qualities that the grapes develops . Bouquet: The scent of this wine is built around the lemon blend; lime and grapefruit. In addition to these, there are three notes of flowers, warm hazelnuts, almonds and vanilla. In the aftertaste it is greasy from freshly fried hazelnuts and slightly vanilla from the oak barrel. There are also lighter notes of green apple and wildflowers. Post taste brings a little acid and just an idea of ​​exotic spices. Culinary combinations: Try this wine with poultry dishes grown in the yard (French rooster in red wine); grilled chard, a halibut in crust with herbs and light salads / with goat cheese.
