The genetic parents of this variety – Negru Vartos from Southern Romania and Saperavi from Georgia – link two of the oldest wine regions in Europe with a unique variety, born in the Dragasani vineyard. Pretentious for vineyards as well as for vinification, these grapes result in a wine that is not subordinated to the “mainstream” of wines from around the world. It is not a strong and insistent concentrate. It is an elegant wine with fine notes, with a lot of depth and complexity. The structure of the tannins remains discreet in the back and allows the multiple aromas of the variety to play in the mouth. Fresh acidity gives the wine a high aging potential, to impress then with warm and round shades of maturity. Color: intense ruby ​​red. Bouquet : fine fruit, spicy, that rises proudly more like the scent of a classic Pinot Noir. The nose is surprised by the aroma of red fruits and candied with spicy notes. as the minutes go by. In the end, the red fruits are more candied and a little more spicy. to any Romanian cuisine with pork; livid; traditional cheeses.
