Founded in 2001, Sister’s Run is owned by Carl and Pegggy Lindner, owners of the legendary Langmeil vineyard and some of Barossa’s most famous winemakers. Brooks, Elena and Zar, are in charge of winemaking and marketing, respectively. Elena Brooks, also from Bulgaria, is considered by many to be the best oenologist of the young generation in Australia. Zar’s description, “Sister’s Run is serious fun. Young and talented, Elena, our oenologist, wears boots to work, but she always has a pair of high-heeled shoes on hand, for emergencies, such as an invitation to pick up her trophy at an awards gala. The stilleto and the boot are the symbols of Sister’s Run – a vineyard dedicated to producing the best possible wines. Even if we still joke about ourselves, we take the wines as seriously as possible. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed doing them. And, don’t forget that the best wine is the one you like. ” Oenologist: Elena Brooks Color: bright red with brick hues Bouquet: leafy and dusty, with an air of very ripe currants Taste: with the elegance, tannins and strength of a Bordeaux, but richer, the wine begins light and textured, and on the palate it is dry and “savory” in notes of aromatic herbs, with strong tannins; long and dry finish, on aromas of berries Culinary combinations: sausages, salami; sausages, beef, lamb steak with rosemary potatoes, ribs or ducksragout with mushroom sauce Serving temperature 15-18 ° C
