Weingut von Winning was founded in 1849, in Koblenz, by Friedrich Deinhard, after inheriting from his father the family business: wine business and sect producers (sparkling wine). Following another legacy, he became the owner in the Palatinate, where he increased his property by buying more land. His son Andreas took over the property in 1870 and began producing high quality wines. Upon his death in 1907, the estate reverted to his son-in-law, Leopold von Winning. He is the one who developsd the business, becoming one of the reference producers of the Palatinate. He was also a founding member of the Verband der Naturweinversteigerer, the predecessor of today’s VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter), one of the strongest associations in the world dedicated to sustainable viticulture. After his death in 1917, the vineyard came into the possession of the Hoch family, and the wines were sold until 2009 under the label “Weingut Dr. Deinhard”. Winning Deidesheimer ”Paradiesgarten” Riesling Trocken 2018 Variety: Riesling Color: bright yellow with green reflections Smell: fine, fresh and elegant, with an explosion of exotic fruits – ripe mango, papaya, melon, subtle notes of citrus and floral, fine minerality and spicy airs, of pepper Taste: charming, expressive, full-bodied and creamy, with a fine sweetness, beautifully balanced by the rocky acidity that wonderfully supports the aromas of ripe tropical fruits – mango juice, passion fruit and pink grapefruit; excellent length, full of elegance and freshness
