Zacapa Centenario XO

Zacapa rum was created in 1976 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of Zacapa City. Zacapa is a town in Guatemala located about 112 km from Guatemala City. The name Zacapa derives from the Nahuatl (Aztec) language and means “on the grass river”. Zacapa XO (extra old), is a mixture of Roma of different ages. The oldest rum in the mixture is 26 years old and the youngest is 6 years old. Once the final mixture is established, the rum is pulled back to mature, in French oak barrels, used to store the brandy. The last maturation period gives the blend time to developsan intense bouquet, to fuse the aromas of all the added rum and to smooth the rigid points with the help of the oak wood brought from the Old World. Color: Copper, with mahogany tones. Bouquet: A captivating scent that combiness woody notes, sugar ars, caramel; roasted walnuts, marzipan and orange peel, with slight floral influences of honeysuckle. Taste: An elegant and complex mix of black cherry flavors , chocolate, prunes; raisins, vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and oak, to which are added mango and raspberry accents.
