Kir-Yianni Akakies Sparkling

Kir-Yianni Vineyard and Amyndeon Winery are located right near Lake Vegoritis, bordered by the Kaimakcalan and Vitsi Mountains. The winery was created to stimulate an underdevelopsd area. It was put on the map due to the systematic efforts of the winery’s founder, Yiannis Boutaris. Today, Amyndeon, a traditional but hitherto neglected viticultural area, has evolved into one of the most promising Greek wine regions. Ktima Kir Yianni wines from the Amyndeon area are characterized by their special quality, pure Greek identity and the absolute expression of their terroir. Protected Designation of Origin Amyndeon Color: Intense bright pink. The overabundant bubbles highlight the wonderful smells of Xinomavro. Method: The first alcoholic fermentation with the traditional method. The second fermentation in the tank. Vinification: The grapes come from the wine area of ​​Agios Panteleimon under the name Amyndeon from Florina , Northwest Greece. The high altitude (600m) and the weak soils in the sand, in the area, lead to the production of wines that have finesse and a rare aromatic character.
