Prince Stirbey Rose

Like all Prince Stribey wines, Rosé is a wine of its own character, energetic and fruity, produced from a single variety. The wine is produced from high quality Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, vinified as Whitewine: after a short maceration – enough to give the juice the fruity character of the variety – it separates the tannic skins from the juice on the press. Color: Light pink with reflections of leaf of onion. Bouquet: shyly reveals the first aromas of red fruits, followed by citrus and flowers. Taste: tasting this rose always has something new to appreciate. The red fruits are representsd by strawberries, currants and strawberries, and the aroma of citrus comes from red oranges. Spices are a strong alliance of pepper, saffron, chicory and something vegetable, softer; it brings has dried plant (thyme or rosemary) . Culinary associations: ideal accompaniment for smoked fish or raw ham, but also on a summer evening barbecue. Serving temperature 6 – 8 ° C. The wines produced on the Știrbey estate in Drăgășani have a tradition of over 300 years. The communist period affected production and for decades Știrbey wines were forgotten. The rebirth of the name Ştirbey in the world of Romanian wines was possible thanks to the descendant of Prince Barbu Ştirbey. Baroness Ileana Kripp-Costinescu and her husband discovered in the Drăgăşani area 1999.
