Recas Cuvee Uberland

Recas Cuvee Uberland is an almost alchemical blend, in which two varieties involved – Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot – collaborate perfectly. Cabernet Sauvignon is the majority in this vat. It is a wine with aging potential, which combiness the characteristics of these two noble varieties in a unique expression of the Banat “terroir” from Recas. At Recaş Wineries, among the almost 1,000 hectares on which we cultivate, we have identified, after years and years of research and experimentation, a few performance points, most of them concentrated in the area called by the locals Überland (“valley over the hill”). Inspired by the techniques of making great Italian wines, the grapes are not harvested when they reach full maturity. They are just cut, then left to dehydrate for a while in the vineyard, so that the must reaches a maximum concentration.  The wine is crafted with care and paternal love by Australian oenologist Hartley Smithers. The wine obtained is then “educated” for 12 months in barrels, to feed on the rich aroma of the wood. The result could be measured in medals or notes of specialized critics. The fact that Recas Sole Cuvee Uberland became a great success immediately after its launch gives us the certainty that our message of excellence has already reached the public.  Thank you for that! (Recas Wineries) Color: ruby-red with shades of purple. Bouquet: well-built, tasteful structure complex and aromas of ripe black fruit: blueberries, bitter cherries and currants. After aeration, we can distinguish the elegant aromas of vanilla, blond tobacco, bitter chocolate and freshly roasted almonds. Merlotului. Culinary associations: game meat, beef rib-eye; oven ducksbreast; blue mold cheeses (Roquefort, Stilton, Gorgonzola); chocolate-based desserts. Serving temperature 16 – 18 ° C.
